The Canadian women’s 3×3 basketball team secured victories against New Zealand, Poland, and the U.S. U24 team, maintaining their flawless record on home soil in the 2023 FIBA Women’s 3X3 Basketball Series.
The team, featuring twin sisters Michelle and Katherine Plouffe from Edmonton, Paige Crozon from Humboldt, Sask., and Kacie Bosch from Lethbridge, Alta., commenced their campaign at the Montreal event with an impressive 21-8 triumph over New Zealand.
Continuing their dominant performance, the Canadians followed up with another resounding win, defeating Poland convincingly with a score of 21-9. They then took to the court once more and secured a 15-10 victory against the U.S. U24 team.
With this latest triumph, Team Canada remains undefeated at home this season, boasting a flawless 13-0 record. They carry an immaculate 3-0 record in Pool A as they head into the semifinals, scheduled for 12.15 p.m. ET on Sunday. The final match is set to take place at 1.45 p.m. ET.
Canada had previously achieved a perfect 5-0 record in the Edmonton stop in July, replicating their success in Quebec City last week.
